Step #1: Do you have one of the following printers?

If you don't see your printer listed, it is not affected by this recall. Use this link to see a detailed list of the affected product and model numbers.
Step #2: Is your cord gray?
If your power cord is black it is not affected by this recall. If your cord is gray proceed to step 3.
Step #3: Identify & Inspect the power cord.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet or power source
- Once the power cord has been unplugged from the wall, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Once the power cord has been unplugged from all power sources and the printer, inspect the female end of the cord (the female connector is the end of the cord that was plugged into the printer.)
- If the designations HB-01 or HP-AA and Longwell appear on one side of the connector, your cord is safe to use (see accompanying photographs).
